Custom Chuppah Floral Design

The floral centerpiece of a Jewish wedding — designed and built to your ceremony.

The chuppah — the canopy the couple stands beneath — is the floral centerpiece of a Jewish wedding, symbolizing the home they'll build together. CHIC Flowers designs and builds custom chuppahs: four-post florals, lush greenery canopies, all-white blooms, and dramatic suspended structures, sized to the ceremony space and your vision. We build chuppahs for weddings across Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, the Valley, and San Diego.

What a chuppah represents

The chuppah is open on all sides, echoing the tent of Abraham and Sarah, and represents the home the couple will create together. Because it frames the entire ceremony — the couple, the rabbi, and often the parents stand beneath or beside it — it is the single most important floral element of the day.

That symbolism is why couples invest in the chuppah: it is both the ritual center of the ceremony and the backdrop for the most photographed moments of the wedding.

Four-post, suspended, and arch

There are three broad approaches. A four-post chuppah is the classic freestanding canopy on four poles, which we can dress from subtle corner accents to full floral coverage. A suspended chuppah hangs the canopy from above for a dramatic, pole-free look, where the venue's rigging allows. An arch or non-traditional structure suits couples wanting a more contemporary silhouette.

We advise on which fits your venue, budget, and aesthetic — suspended structures read the most dramatic but depend on the room's rigging and cost more; four-post is the most flexible and reliable.

Floral coverage options

Coverage is the biggest design and budget lever. Corner clusters at the tops of the poles are elegant and cost-efficient; a full floral canopy or fully wrapped posts read lush and opulent and use far more flowers. Greenery-forward designs achieve fullness with less floral cost.

We help you place the investment where it shows most — often a stronger canopy and lighter posts, or vice versa, depending on how the chuppah will be photographed.

Repurposing and venue rules

A chuppah is a large, beautiful structure that shouldn't sit idle after the ceremony. Where possible, we plan it — or its florals — for reuse at the reception, over the sweetheart table or as a backdrop, so the investment works across the whole day.

We also design within each venue's rules for rigging, setup, and teardown, and coordinate with kosher-venue and Shomer Shabbat timing where relevant.

Frequently asked questions

What is a chuppah?+
A chuppah is the canopy a Jewish couple stands beneath during the wedding ceremony. Open on all sides, it symbolizes the home they will build together, and it frames the entire ceremony.
Do you provide the chuppah structure or just the flowers?+
We can provide both. We design and build the structure — four-post, arch, or suspended — and dress it with florals, from corner accents to a full canopy.
How much does a floral chuppah cost?+
It ranges widely with structure and coverage — typically $2,500 to $12,000 or more. A four-post chuppah with corner clusters sits at the lower end; a fully covered or suspended chuppah at the higher end. See our cost guide for detail.
Can the chuppah be reused at the reception?+
Often, yes. We plan the chuppah or its florals for reuse — over the sweetheart table or as a reception backdrop — so the investment works across the whole day.
Four-post or suspended — which should we choose?+
Four-post is the most flexible and reliable and works in any venue. Suspended reads the most dramatic but depends on the room's rigging and costs more. We advise based on your venue, budget, and how the chuppah will be photographed.
