Why couples choose a suspended chuppah

Without posts, nothing blocks the view of the couple — for guests or for the photographer. The canopy itself becomes the design: a lush cloud of flowers and greenery, a ring or rectangle of blooms, or a draped fabric canopy trimmed in florals.

Suspended chuppahs also suit modern and minimal spaces, where a traditional four-post structure can feel heavy.

Is your venue suitable?

A suspended chuppah needs somewhere safe to hang from: approved rigging points in a ballroom ceiling, a tent frame rated for the load, or a freestanding truss system. Not every venue allows ceiling rigging, and many require their own approved rigger. We confirm feasibility at the first walkthrough before designing.

Outdoor ceremonies without a structure overhead can still have a floating look using a slim frame or truss disguised with greenery.

Weight, rigging, and safety

Fresh flowers, water sources, and the frame add up, so we design the canopy with its weight in mind and coordinate with the venue's rigging team on load and attachment. Installation usually happens before the room is set, so we plan timing with the venue and any other vendors working overhead, such as lighting.

Cost compared with a four-post chuppah

A suspended chuppah usually costs more than a four-post design because of the rigging, frame, labor, and the density of flowers needed to make the canopy read from below.
