Jewelry and Watch Event Florals

Salon dinners, collection previews, and vitrine styling designed around the pieces, never on top of them.

CHIC Flowers designs florals for high-jewelry and watch events across Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego: private salon dinners, collection previews, VIC appointments, and boutique anniversaries. The pieces are the point, so the rule is restraint with precision. Florals sit beside and above a vitrine, never in it; nothing sheds pollen, drips, or reflects into the glass; and every arrangement is placed with the lighting designer so the stones and dials read exactly as the house intends. Guest counts are small and the standard is absolute.

Designing around a vitrine

A jewelry vitrine is lit from above and viewed from a hand's width away, which rules out most of what florists usually do. We keep arrangements off the display surface, behind or beside the case at a height that frames the glass without casting a shadow into it, and we choose blooms with no loose pollen and no petals that drop. Matte foliage and closed forms sit near the cases; anything lush or scented moves to the entrance, the bar, and the dining room, where it can carry the mood without touching the pieces.

Vessels near cases are heavy-bottomed, water-tight, and unglazed or matte, so there is nothing to tip, leak, or throw a reflection into a sapphire crystal.

Salon dinners and collection previews

A collection dinner for twenty to sixty guests is designed as one long composition: a low runner or a line of small arrangements down the table that leaves the sightline open for conversation and for the pieces being passed or worn, with the palette drawn from the collection, a stone, a metal, an enamel. For a preview, the florals lead guests from the door through the viewing sequence, marking each vitrine group without competing with it, and give the photographer one hero moment that carries the house's codes.

Security and logistics

Events with high-value pieces run on the house's security plan, and the florals fit inside it. We install before the pieces arrive and strike after they leave, so no crew is on the floor while the collection is out. The crew list is shared in advance, vehicles and cases are declared, and the install path is agreed with security and the venue. Where an insurer or the house asks for it, we document every piece we bring in and out. We confirm access and timing with the venue rather than assume it.

VIC appointments and boutique anniversaries

For a private client appointment, a single arrangement in the salon, refreshed for each appointment day, is often the whole brief, and it has to be exactly right. For a boutique anniversary or a new-boutique opening, we scale up to a facade or window moment, a reception inside the store sized to its footprint and fixtures, and gifting for the invited clients, with the same discipline near the cases.

Frequently asked questions

Can you place flowers inside or on top of a jewelry vitrine?+
We advise against it, and we design so there is no need to. Arrangements sit beside or above the case at a height that frames the glass without shadowing it, and the lush pieces move to the entrance, bar, and dining room.
How do you work with the security plan for high-value pieces?+
We install before the pieces arrive and strike after they leave, share the crew list and vehicles in advance, agree the install path with security and the venue, and document what we bring in and out where the house or insurer asks.
Will pollen or water damage anything?+
Not with the right blooms and vessels. Near the cases we use varieties with no loose pollen, closed forms that do not drop petals, and heavy, water-tight matte vessels; anything scented or lush is kept away from the displays.
Do you design for small, private appointments?+
Yes. A single salon arrangement refreshed for each appointment day is a common brief, and we treat it with the same precision as a dinner.
Can the florals follow the collection's palette?+
Yes. We draw the palette from the collection's stones, metals, and enamels and confirm it with samples before the event.
