Hotel del Coronado is one of the most recognizable hotels in America — a Victorian beachfront resort on Coronado Island with the Pacific at its doorstep and ballrooms that have hosted a century of celebrations. CHIC Flowers is headquartered in San Diego, and we design luxury weddings at the Del regularly: oceanfront ceremony florals, reception design for its historic rooms, and installations built for the resort.

The Del combines Victorian architecture with a beach setting, and florals here should bridge the two: classic enough for the Crown Room's woodwork and ceiling, fresh enough for an oceanfront lawn. Whites and ivories with greenery are timeless here; soft blush, sea-glass, and coastal blues suit the beach; and warmer tones with candlelight suit the historic ballrooms in the evening.
Oceanfront ceremonies on the hotel's lawns put the Pacific behind the couple. We design arches and aisle florals weighted for the sea breeze, built from blooms that hold up in sun and salt air, and oriented so the water frames the ceremony. We plan an indoor alternative with the hotel for weather.
The Crown Room and the hotel's other ballrooms call for florals that complement Victorian detailing — layered low-and-tall centerpieces, candlelight, and a head table or sweetheart design in palettes that suit the warm wood tones. For larger receptions we scale the program to the room.
We build suspended installations and floral walls for the ballrooms, beach-side installations for cocktail hour, and entrance pieces, on structures we own, and plan ceremony florals that can move into the reception.
Because our studio is in San Diego, Coronado is local for us — no travel fees, easy site visits, and crews who know the property. We coordinate timing, access, and the ceremony-to-reception move with the hotel's events team and confirm any requirements at the walkthrough. We design here for Indian, Jewish, Arab, and luxury weddings.
