The Great Lawn and oceanfront ceremony

The Great Lawn is Rosewood Miramar's signature outdoor ceremony space. Pacific Ocean backdrop, Montecito mountain framing, and afternoon golden-hour light make it a premier choice for outdoor mandap installations. Traditional four-pillar mandaps at fourteen-by-fourteen footprint, contemporary round mandaps, and open-canopy Sikh palki designs all work beautifully here.

Outdoor havan with Santa Barbara County fire permit is supported. Coastal wind affects installation planning; we reinforce floral rigging and coordinate weather-contingency with the Chandelier Ballroom as indoor backup.

Chandelier Ballroom

The Chandelier Ballroom supports sangeet and reception productions up to approximately 350 guests. Original crystal chandelier detailing creates a backdrop that complements traditional and contemporary floral aesthetics alike. Mandap installations in the ballroom work at twelve-by-twelve to fourteen-by-fourteen footprints.

Sangeet productions in the Chandelier Ballroom can incorporate LED-integrated backdrops, suspended canopy installations, and entrance choreography timed to DJ cues. Full-ceiling floral work is possible with pre-wedding access to the space.

Pool deck and secondary spaces

The pool deck accommodates mehndi and haldi productions at 100–150 guest scale with overhead floral chandelier coverage and floor-seating arrangements. Poolside sangeet options work for couples preferring outdoor evening celebration with ocean-air ambiance.

Private bungalow courtyards support intimate family events (welcome dinners, family-only mehndis, rehearsal dinners) at 30–80 guest scale. Multi-day weddings often use these smaller spaces for pre-ceremony intimate events.

Frequently asked questions

Is Rosewood Miramar suitable for large Indian weddings?+
Yes, for weddings up to approximately 450 guests on the Great Lawn ceremony and 350 in the Chandelier Ballroom reception. Larger productions typically pair Rosewood with overflow at Four Seasons Biltmore or select Santa Barbara properties.
Can we do outdoor havan on the Great Lawn?+
Yes, with Santa Barbara County fire permit and protective setup. Coastal wind affects flame management; we build protective windscreens into the mandap structure and coordinate with the fire marshal on approval.
What's the typical Indian wedding scope here?+
Three- to four-day Indian weddings running mehndi on pool deck, ceremony on Great Lawn, and sangeet and reception in Chandelier Ballroom — sometimes across consecutive days, sometimes split across Rosewood and a partner Montecito venue.
How does coastal climate affect floral design?+
Santa Barbara coastal climate is reliably mild year-round. Salt air and coastal wind affect delicate flowers more than hardy ones; we favor rose, marigold, orchid, and anthurium for outdoor installations and keep jasmine work protected.
