The Croquet Lawn is Meadowood's signature outdoor ceremony space. The lawn sits surrounded by mature oak trees and framed by the property's stone architecture, with afternoon light that photographs exceptionally well. For outdoor mandap installations here, we typically build traditional four-pillar structures in the fourteen-by-fourteen foot footprint, with floral density calibrated to the oak grove backdrop — slightly more restrained than a ballroom installation so the lawn's natural beauty remains part of the composition.

Outdoor havan with open-flame agni kund is permitted at Meadowood with a fire permit and protective flooring setup. The property has a long history of accommodating traditional Hindu ceremonies, and the events team is experienced with the fire marshal coordination process. We file the permit four to six weeks in advance and the venue handles ancillary items like fire extinguisher placement and on-site attendant scheduling.

Weather contingency for Croquet Lawn ceremonies is handled through the indoor ballroom as a same-day pivot option. We build every outdoor mandap here with a parallel indoor mandap plan ready to deploy, and the production team can pivot within ninety minutes of a weather call.

Sangeet in the ballroom and barrel room

Meadowood's main ballroom supports sangeet productions for up to four hundred guests with stage-forward seating, and the wood-paneled architecture creates a warm backdrop that suits saturated Indian wedding palettes beautifully. Our sangeet installations here typically use the venue's existing ceiling rigging points for suspended canopy work, and we design stage backdrops that integrate with the room's wood paneling rather than cover it.

The barrel room is an alternative sangeet and rehearsal dinner venue with distinctly different atmosphere. Stone walls, barrel-stacked architecture, and lower ceiling heights create an intimate setting that works for smaller sangeets or for the family welcome dinner that often precedes the main sangeet. The barrel room comfortably accommodates sangeets up to approximately one hundred guests with full floral coverage.

Multi-day production choreography

A typical four-day Indian wedding at Meadowood runs mehndi on the pool terrace or spa garden, sangeet in the ballroom, ceremony at the Croquet Lawn or oak grove, and reception in the ballroom or under a tent on the lawn. Our production team coordinates the install and strike cycle across these spaces so the daily turnover happens cleanly. The property supports pre-wedding-week install access for larger productions, which lets us rig ceiling installation and build mandap structures in advance of guest arrival.

Guest accommodation at Meadowood is handled through the property's cottages and lodges, with roughly eighty to one hundred guests on-site and overflow typically at Auberge du Soleil, Calistoga Ranch, Solage, and The Meritage Resort nearby. Shuttle coordination between properties is handled by the planner; we coordinate installation schedules around guest arrival windows.
