Fourth of July Event Decor for Hotels and Resorts

Red, white, and blue done luxuriously, for rooftop parties, pool decks, and resort lawns with a fireworks view.

CHIC Flowers designs Fourth of July event decor for luxury hotels and resorts in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County: rooftop and pool-deck parties, resort lawn celebrations, and fireworks-viewing lounges. The palette is red, white, and blue, but built from flowers, not bunting: white hydrangea and garden roses, blue delphinium and thistle, and red used as an accent. Structures are weighted for coastal wind, blooms are chosen for afternoon heat, and the strike happens the same night.

Red, white, and blue without the bunting

The holiday has a fixed palette, so the design is in how it is handled. We build on white, with hydrangea, garden roses, stock, and lisianthus doing most of the work, add blue through delphinium, thistle, and agapanthus, and use red sparingly as an accent in dahlias or ranunculus. Navy and white striped linens, brass, and natural rattan give the setting a coastal, old-club feel instead of a parade. No plastic bunting, no foil, no novelty.

Rooftops, pool decks, and lawns

A rooftop party gets a bar installation and lounge florals that read against the skyline; a pool deck gets low arrangements on cabanas and cocktail tables and a dressed DJ or band riser; a resort lawn gets picnic-style long tables, a dressed buffet, and a focal arch or flag-free photo moment guests can share. Fireworks-viewing lounges, where the property has a line of sight to a display, get lanterns and low florals so nothing blocks the view.

Heat, wind, and salt air

An afternoon-into-evening event in July means heat and, on the coast, wind. We choose blooms that hold in sun, hydrangea in particular needs preparation, with lisianthus, dahlias, and hardy greenery carrying the day, hydrate and install as late as the schedule allows, and weight every freestanding structure for an onshore breeze. Where the event is on a deck over the water, we confirm with the property how pieces are secured.

Same-day install and strike

Fourth of July events are one-day affairs, so we install in the afternoon on a schedule set with the property and strike the same night after the last guest, leaving the pool deck or rooftop ready for the morning. Bars and lounges that run into a late night are designed so florals look right under party lighting after dark.

Frequently asked questions

Can Fourth of July decor look luxurious?+
Yes. The palette is fixed but the materials are not: white hydrangea and garden roses, blue delphinium and thistle, red accents, navy linens, and brass read as a coastal club rather than a parade.
How do the flowers hold up in July heat?+
We choose heat-tolerant blooms, prepare hydrangea properly, hydrate and install as late as the schedule allows, and keep the fullest pieces in shade where the layout permits.
Are structures safe on a rooftop or pool deck in wind?+
Every freestanding piece is weighted for an onshore breeze, and we confirm with the property how pieces are secured on decks over water or at height.
Do you strike the same night?+
Yes. We strike after the last guest so the deck, rooftop, or lawn is ready for the next morning.
