Historic downtown LA cathedral for editorial-direction Indian and fusion weddings.
Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles is one of the city's most distinctive editorial wedding venues — a restored former cathedral (Saint Vibiana, built 1876) now operating as a private events space. The soaring cathedral architecture, stone walls, and European aesthetic create a setting unlike any other Indian wedding venue in California. CHIC Flowers designs Indian, South Asian, and fusion weddings at Vibiana with production approach calibrated to the venue's unique architectural character.

Venue facts
Vibiana's soaring cathedral interior (approximately 40-foot nave ceiling) accommodates dramatic suspended floral installations and large-scale mandap structures. The stone architecture creates a backdrop unlike hotel ballrooms — our floral design often leans into this contrast with either full-saturated traditional Hindu aesthetic (creating dramatic color against stone) or restrained editorial fusion aesthetic (letting the architecture dominate).
Mandap installations in the nave work at fourteen-by-fourteen footprints with suspended canopy extending toward the original cathedral ceiling. The architectural scale rewards substantial installation rather than restrained accent work.
Vibiana is an indoor-only venue. This constrains outdoor ceremony options but provides climate-controlled infrastructure year-round. Indoor havan for traditional Hindu ceremonies requires LA City fire marshal review — Vibiana has a pathway for permitted indoor ceremonies with extensive protective setup.
Reception and sangeet productions work well in the main nave or in the adjacent rectory spaces. Scale supports 200–350 guest productions.
