Grand Ballroom scale

The Grand Ballroom supports reception productions up to approximately 800 guests with seated dance floor, and higher counts for sangeet stage-forward layouts. Ceiling height and column-free volume make this one of the largest ballrooms available for Indian weddings in Southern California. Mandap installations at the larger end of our spectrum (fourteen-by-fourteen or sixteen-by-sixteen footprints) work proportionally in the space.

Floral density in a ballroom this large favors full coverage for traditional aesthetics. Ceiling installations with full canopy work use 10,000–15,000+ stems, backdrop work adds significantly more, and tablescape coverage for 70+ tables adds another substantial stem count.

Outdoor ceremony sites

Multiple outdoor ceremony sites accommodate Indian wedding ceremonies: the Desert Ballroom lawn (expansive, accommodates 500+ guests), the spa pool terrace (intimate, accommodates ~200), and the golf course overlook (dramatic mountain backdrop, 300+ capacity). Each site supports outdoor mandap installations with Riverside County fire permit.

Desert heat considerations affect installation planning. October through April are peak wedding months. Summer weddings favor evening outdoor ceremonies (after 6:00 PM) or indoor ballroom sites. Fire-resistant floral selection and hydration cycles during extended outdoor installations are standard parts of our production approach.

Frequently asked questions

What's the largest Indian wedding this venue accommodates?+
Sangeet productions at approximately 1,000 guests with stage-forward layouts. Reception with dance floor at the seated standard tops out around 800. Large Gujarati, Marwari, and Punjabi weddings seeking 600+ guest scale frequently choose this venue.
Is outdoor havan allowed during summer fire season?+
Riverside County implements seasonal fire restrictions that can affect outdoor flame permits during high-risk periods (typically late spring through early fall). We monitor the restriction calendar and recommend off-season dates for couples committed to outdoor havan. Indoor havan alternative with fire marshal coordination is available year-round.
Do you recommend October-April for desert weddings?+
Strongly. October through April is peak Coachella Valley wedding season — comfortable temperatures, peak muhurat window, lifted fire restrictions, and optimal photography light. Summer dates are possible but require indoor or evening outdoor ceremony placement.
How does the desert palette affect floral design?+
Desert aesthetic supports saturated color palettes that might feel overwhelming elsewhere. Burnt orange marigold, fuchsia, saffron, and jewel tones read beautifully against desert sand, mountain backdrop, and mid-century Palm Desert architecture. Heat-resistant flowers (marigold, rose, anthurium, orchid) outperform more delicate varietals.
