Kannada mandapam and dhare herapu
The Kannada kalyana mandapam follows South Indian architectural tradition — wooden or ornamental pillars with restrained floral accents, jasmine and tuberose as primary flowers, and a color palette anchored in white and gold with warm-tone accents. Density is lower than North Indian mandaps; the architecture carries more visual weight.
Dhare Herapu is the Kannada signature ritual — the bride's father or another family elder pours water over the couple's joined hands while reciting sacred verses.
