Georgian Revival estate Indian weddings across 654 acres of Peninsula landscape.
Filoli Historic House & Garden in Woodside is one of the Bay Area's most distinctive historic estate wedding venues — a Georgian Revival main house surrounded by 16 acres of formal gardens and 654 acres of surrounding Peninsula landscape. CHIC Flowers designs Indian, South Asian, and fusion weddings at Filoli with production approach respecting the property's historic preservation status and formal garden integrity.

Venue facts
Filoli's formal gardens provide one of California's most photogenic ceremony settings. The Sunken Garden, the Walled Garden, and the lawn adjacent to the Georgian mansion each offer distinct ceremony photography opportunities. Mandap installations here respect the garden's historic plantings — we use free-standing structures rather than anchoring to existing features.
Outdoor havan with San Mateo County fire permit is feasible with protective setup that doesn't affect the garden's historic landscape. Preservation considerations limit where we can place protective flooring and how we stage fire-adjacent setup.
Filoli is administered by Filoli Historic Preservation Foundation, which brings specific event rules different from hotel or commercial venues. Setup windows are constrained; vendor access follows specific protocols; installation must avoid damage to historic plantings or architectural features. Our production team works within these constraints.
Reception typically happens in tented installation on the main lawn or in the historic courtyard area. Scale supports 150–250 guest productions — larger weddings typically outgrow the property's practical capacity.
