From the hand-asking at home to the engagement party.
Armenian engagements happen in two steps: the khosk arnel, when the groom's family visits the bride's home to formally ask for her hand, and the nshanadrutyun, the engagement party where the ring is given and both families celebrate. CHIC Flowers designs both — an intimate setting at home for the asking, and a full party design for the engagement, from a ring-ceremony backdrop to tables and entrance florals.

The khosk arnel is usually held at the bride's family home. The groom's parents and close relatives arrive with flowers and gifts, the families talk, and the engagement is agreed. It is intimate and traditional, so the design is restrained: a beautiful arrangement for the living room, florals for the table where the families sit, and a bouquet for the bride.
The engagement party can be anything from a large dinner at home to a banquet-hall event with a hundred guests or more. The ring is given in front of the families — often with a priest's blessing — so a backdrop or focal point for that moment is the heart of the design. We add entrance florals, centerpieces, and a sweets or dessert table styled in the same palette.
Many families treat the nshanadrutyun as a preview of the wedding style, so we often design it in a lighter version of the wedding palette.
Engagement designs range from a few arrangements for a home gathering to a full banquet-hall setup. We scale the design to the guest count and the room, and we can plan the engagement and wedding together so the two events feel connected.
