The church entrance is the first thing guests and the camera see, and in Armenian weddings it is often a grand set of doors worthy of a statement piece. We design entrance and doorway florals — flanking arrangements, garlands, or an entrance moment — that establish the palette and the level of the day before anyone steps inside.
Entrance pieces are also the most portable ceremony florals, which makes them strong candidates for repurposing at the reception entrance later in the evening.
Armenian church aisles are frequently long — often 100 feet or more in cathedral spaces — which changes the design math. Pew or chair markers need to be substantial enough to read down a long aisle, and spacing is planned so the aisle feels dressed without becoming cluttered or slowing the procession.
Whether petals may be scattered down the aisle varies by parish; some churches permit it and some do not. We confirm this alongside the rest of the floral guidelines.
The altar is the visual anchor of the ceremony. We design paired, symmetrical arrangements sized to the height of the space, in a palette that complements the church's architecture — often stone, marble, and gilded detail — rather than fighting it. Full, structured blooms read better than loose forms in these formal interiors.
The crowning (psak) takes place here, so altar design is coordinated with the crowning-table styling to read as one considered setting.
Every Armenian Apostolic parish has its own rules — what may be placed on or near the altar, whether aisle petals are allowed, and the access window for setup. We contact the church early, confirm the guidelines in writing where possible, and design within them so there are no surprises on the day.
Setup usually happens in a defined window before the ceremony, sometimes constrained by an earlier service. We plan the install timeline with the church and your planner, and coordinate the move of any repurposed pieces to the reception.
