Keeping the traditions that matter, in a style that feels like you.
Many Armenian-American couples — and couples where one partner is Armenian and one is not — want a wedding that honors Armenian tradition without following the full banquet-hall template. That usually means keeping the church ceremony and a few reception traditions, and giving the design a lighter, more modern hand. CHIC Flowers designs these weddings across Los Angeles, from estate and garden venues to hotel ballrooms.

Most Armenian-American couples keep the church ceremony — the crowning is meaningful to both families and photographs beautifully — and the lavash-and-honey welcome at the reception. Many keep the sweetheart stage in a smaller form, and almost everyone keeps the dancing. What tends to change is the scale of the centerpieces and the venue: a garden, estate, or boutique hotel instead of a banquet hall.
Armenian style leans tall, gold, and abundant; contemporary American style leans lower, greener, and more restrained. We find the middle: a sweetheart setting with a floral backdrop but no raised stage, centerpieces that mix a few tall statements with lower garden-style arrangements, and a palette that both families recognize — ivory and blush with touches of gold rather than full gold-and-crystal.
When one family is not Armenian, the crowning, the narod, and the lavash-and-honey welcome can be unfamiliar. We are happy to walk both families through what each moment means and how it will look, so everyone feels part of the day.
Estates and gardens in Pasadena and the Valley, boutique hotels in Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and downtown venues such as Vibiana suit couples who want an Armenian wedding in a less traditional setting. We design the church-to-venue flow the same way we would for a banquet-hall wedding.
