Our cultural expertise across Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Jain, Parsi, regional, and fusion Indian weddings — the credentials, the consultation process, and how we coordinate with families, priests, and planners throughout the wedding week.
CHIC Flowers is a team of over twenty-five professionally trained floral designers, and our Indian wedding practice is led by senior design leads who have executed at every major California luxury venue. For every Indian wedding we take on, a senior lead with prior experience at your specific venue is named in the initial proposal. You know who is running your wedding before you sign.
Alona Chasin, our founder, personally oversees every multi-day Indian wedding production from concept through install. The creative direction, the palette, the mandap renderings, the day-by-day schedule — she is in the room for each of those conversations. This is non-negotiable for our Indian wedding clients because the expectation of founder-level involvement is central to how luxury Indian weddings are coordinated.
Every Indian wedding involves ritual specifics that a floral team must understand and accommodate. For Hindu weddings, that includes agni kund (fire vessel) clearance, seating for the pandit and parents, phere pathway, and placement of ritual items like kalash and pooja thali. For Sikh anand karaj ceremonies, it includes the placement of the Guru Granth Sahib palki, the lavan circumambulation path, and ceremonial reverence around the canopy.
We prefer a direct phone conversation with the officiant at least two weeks before the wedding to walk through the setup. For families bringing priests from India or another state, we schedule this call on arrival.
Our team communicates with families in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujarati depending on the family's preference. Video consultations are scheduled to accommodate India and Gulf time zones when parents are participating remotely, and we email or message across time zones for day-to-day design coordination with families spanning California, India, and the Middle East.
A portion of our Indian wedding work is for high-profile clients under NDA. We sign client-supplied NDAs without modification, coordinate with security teams where required, and never publish imagery without explicit written consent. Our portfolio page includes a mix of shared and anonymous case studies to reflect this.
